Who we are

The Human Billboard is a trading name of Artivisual Media Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 10881316. Registered office: The Bristol Office, 2nd Floor, 5 High Street, Westbury-On-Trym, Bristol, BS9 3BY. Artivisual Media Ltd is the data controller. You can reach us at hello@thehumanbillboard.com.

What we collect

One thing: the email address you type into the registration form, and which side you told us you are on — sponsor or athlete. That is the whole record. We do not ask for a name, a password, a payment method or any document.

Why we collect it

To email you updates on our progress, and to tell you when we launch. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form and can withdraw at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to us. We record which version of the consent wording you agreed to, and when. We do not sell your email, share it with advertisers, or use it to build a profile of you. Registering is not a bid and creates no obligation on either side.

How long we keep it

We keep your email until you unsubscribe, or for 24 months after our last email to you, whichever comes first.

How to have it deleted

Email hello@thehumanbillboard.com from the address you registered with and say so. No form, no account, no justification needed. We will delete the record and confirm.

Who processes it, and where

Three services handle your email address on our behalf:

Your email address is received and stored in the United Kingdom. The only processing that may happen elsewhere is the sending of the launch email. [For review: once Resend’s region is confirmed, either remove this sentence or state the transfer basis that applies.]

Cookies and tracking

None. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds no tracking pixels. The only third-party request it makes is for the typefaces, served by Google Fonts.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. One email does any of those. If you are unhappy with how we respond you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Research data

The pilot asks questions whose answers are research: an age band, the first half of a postcode, which moments somebody plans to attend, what they think a placement is worth, and where else they are going. We are still writing how that is described here.

[TBC: privacy wording for research data]
